Steve,
You're referring to the c25 logo on the sides of the coaming? I'm wondering though, how are they (new and old) attached? I've never really looked at them...

Thx

Bill,

Yes, Steve is referring to the plastic logos on the coaming. Both the old logo and Steve's replacement logos are simply glued on (self-adhesive sticker for the new ones).

I replaced my broken, faded logos awhile ago with Steve's and they still look great. They really POP and dress up the exterior.

Here is a sample photo of Steve's replacement logos that he posted in another topic.

Here is what is offered by Catalina Direct.

As you can see, Steve's look more elegant and original with the vintage script whereas the replacements from CD have a generic, bland look to it.

Wow, what a difference. Ok, so here's a stupid question... what do I do to get the originals off cleanly (without marring the coaming)?

I can't remember exactly what I used to pry them off, but I think I used a disposable plastic putty knife to easily separate the old logos from the gelcoat. Once that was done, I used Goof Off to clean up the residue.

Steve, are these a bit stronger than the original equipment ones? My crew (and I) love to hit them as we climb into the cockpit after playing around on the foredeck ... or will club-racing. Or, should I just order 2 pair?

So wait a minute Steve - your not gonna gouge us like the gas stations do? Pay for next weeks gas shipment by inflating the price on the current gas still in the tanks below the ground....

I ordered a set and was completely satisfied. I looked for a picture but realized I never took one. They look almost identical to the C-25 down the way who still has her original logos intact.

If you want to impress your denser friends, you can also install the logo as a Catalina 52.
