I am helping my friend captain a 45' Morgan for charter service. It is an inspected vessel and she sails really well. (She's an '83 Morgan 454 Nelson Marek design.) The problem is that the factory non-skid is worn smooth. Hard to move about safely.
Does anyone have any suggestions about what kind of product to apply for non-skid? Thanks
I don't remember where I saw this idea, but it sounded interesting. You paint the non-skid area with some sort of deck paint and, while it is still wet, scatter epsom salts on the paint. After it is dry, you flush the area with water to dissolve the salts and, voila, a non-skid surface. Sounds relatively easy, of course it might be overly abrasive to a bare knee, so I'd suggest a little experimentation first.
