Howdy C25 forum members!

I went sailing with a guy a couple days ago with a newly purchased 1977 fin keel. It's in pretty good shape after all these years, and it's number 126.

Question: Did Catalina start numbering the 25's with #1 or with #100?

I'm just curious.

I'm still adding to my collection of Catalina 25's and now have 51 from 1977 to 1992, most with pictures. http://www.sailingtexas.com/cboats99catalina25.html

I'm missing 1989 and 1991, if you have one of these years and can send me pictures to help me complete the collection I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks,
David

I believe Chuck Shaw's C25 "Confetti" is hull #1.

I think Frank and the boys at Catalina started each Catalina model @ hull #1. I believe Catalina 30 Hull #1 (1975 - well really late 1974) is still for sale on the IC30A website - as is my 1975 Hull #17. I owned "Neffie" a 1985 C25 Swing Keel - Standard Rig #5541 for many years. Reply back if you want a picture of her. Neat idea to collect the pictures by year!

Regards

As far as I know, there are no 1991 or 1992 C25s. Looking at the picture of the "1992", and seeing aluminum window frames, and the outboard on the starboard side, I believe is is actualy a late 1981,82,or 83. Bill H. is the well of knowedge in this area.

I've got a question. Looking over the C25 Owners Directory I found I wasn't there. How does one register.
I was under the impression our boats would show up once we signed on with our C25 Association.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

I think you'll have to email Spike to be added to the directory ... I suppose you could post your request in the "Feedback" section, but an email seems easier to me.

'Hope that helps.

Go to the site's Home page, click on "Owner's Directory," then click on "Click here to fill in Owner's Questionnaire."

Just curious... how many C25s did Catalina make before it they changed to the 250 (and when was that)?

Mine is an '84 with #4036 so it must be quite a large number. So then I wonder why the C25 gets so little attention from them.

Catalina produced a little over 6,000 C25's (6031?). I think the last C25 was made in 1991.
