I am looking to buy a Standard Horizon depth finder guage. Mine has become impossible to read, probably sun damage. My transducer is fine and I plan on using the same wires, etc.

Mike,

I've replaced SH mechanisms by contacting SH and discussing my problem. They have an answer for any problem. If interested you may contact them at:

Standard Communications Corp.
PO Box 92151
Los Angeles,Ca. 90009-2151
Telephone 213-532-5300

Hope this works for you

I contacted Standard Horizon and they can no longer help since they don't sell depth finders any more. There was another posting on the other forum about depth finders. Does anyone know of a place that might sell used Standard depth finders or anywhere that sells a new or used 4 in cutout depth finder.

Just an idea, if your main concern is filling the 4 inch cutout you could put a teak plate over the hole and use another size depth guage if necessary.

Just cut a circle a little larger than the hole, roundover the edge and mount with screws and/or a very adhesive caulk. You could put whatever you want in that, even a square face instrument, and it will still look nice.

Thanks a lot! My e-mail is buddy9171-shop@yahoo.com. I can send you money either by check or by PayPal if you use that service. Whatever is easier for you. Thanks again.
