I had this posted earlier but it seems to have disappeared. Does anyone use a main sheet traveler on a 250WB? Any recommendations? How and where did you mount it? Thanks, Paul
Paul, this topic goes back many years on this forum and of those who have added a traveler, some have claimed good benefit from the effort and some have said the results weren't significant... that may not have helped your decision much, it did mine.... without a clear affirmation of dividends... I decided against the addition.
First of all, I want to thank you so much for all the mods you have shared. I have done most of them to my boat, Gabriel, including the steering cables. I sailed it for the first time last Tuesday and all went very well except my jib sheets got caught. I did have your mod for that on my "to do" list. Needless to say, I docked it and added the old bungee mod.
The lake I sail on is long and narrow and it seems like if I could sail tighter to the wind I would hope (hope being the operative word) that it would reduce tacks. Anyone else have ideas on this. I think I will try it but would really like to find out where others mounted their track and any pictures or helpful tips.
