Must Sell. $4000 or best offer. Need to rebuild engine on our Catalina 30. Need money fast.

Invictus is a 1986 tall rig/fin keel. VERY CLEAN. Three hank on head sails, 90 150 & 170. New sail cover & bimini in 2002. New Cabin and reading lamps 2003. New internal halyards 2003. Additional 110V outlets on starboard settee and in head. Storage compartments behind port and starboard settees. Mast re-wired 2003 with new anchor and bow lights. Danforth anchor w/150" of rode. VHF radio. Stainless steel boarding ladder. Teak Cetoled in 2002-03-04. 10hp Evinrude. Fresh bottom paint, ready to sail.

Hey Rick - from a fellow C30 owner. At 4K I'm sure your C25 will sell fast if not already. Have you spoken to Joe Demers at Sound Marine Diesel about possibly a new Beta engine vs rebuilding? I'm hearing good things about the Beta line.. Joe is in CT and VERY helpful to us C30 folks.. here's his web site

Mark,

Thanks for your response. Joe is at a boat show until the 24th. I have looked into options locally. Looks like anywhere from $3500 for a rebuild to $10,000 for a Yanmar.

What are you asking for your 30?

I saw where you posted to the Catalina 30 Owners site about Joe D. I'd still try to get in touch with him. Joe owns a C30 as I understand it - hence very familiar w/ our needs, problems, etc. I know a dock neighbor w/ an older Hunter 30 has a Beta on order (Thru Joe I think) and I know the $$ were fair. Must have been - my dock neighbor is cheaper than I am!

If you have a second - scroll down here on the C25 swap meet - you'll come across my "C30 for sale - PICTURES!" , or something like that.. Advertised at $11,900 but would love to work out a down size trade deal for the right C25 or 27.
