Hi folks,

A while back we had a discussion about our favorite sailing music and Ben-FL (of Chickapea fame) posted Yo Ho Ho, which I think is the song Captain Black Sparrow sings in Pirates of the Caribean. There was a link to that song in the discussion. I found the discussion in the archives, but the link is no longer any good.

Ben, if you read this, can you repost that song. What I'm doing is I'm trying to collect sailor songs to learn on my dulcimer for a schooner cruise I'm taking in about a month. If I had the song, I could sound it out.

Better yet, if anyone has the sheet music for it, could you let me know.

Thanks ya'll,

Ben

http://buccaneer.boourns.net/song.php

Has the lyrics and says at the bottom of the page "click here to download the MP3." I didn't try it though.

IMHO...there is no better sailing song than the James Brown classic: "I feel good!....." ;-)

Ben, you mention a schooner cruise. Is this by any chance part of the windjammer fleet sailing from Camden, Maine? Ron in Fla

That was it! Thanks ya'll.

to answer your question Ron. The ship is the Stephen Tabor and sails out of Rockport, Maine. I don't think she's part of a fleet.

Sorry I've not been around the forum much as I am working out of town with no internet. And I come home on Saturday evening to leave early Monday. Spent today putting an altanator in the admiral's Jimmy.

It was after the MUG RACE I tried to post pictures on my FTP space but the system was having troubles. So the Pirate Song will have to be uploaded again. I try it now and see if the FTP thing works.
