We have had a lot of rain in the last two weeks. I slept on the boat after the Wed nite races a week ago last Wed and the first storm came that night. It is interesting to hear hail on your deck while the boat is hopping on the spring lines and the rigging is pumping from the wind and surge. (Cove on an inland lake mind you). They registered 11 inches of rain a few miles away that night. (They say the hail confuses the new fangled way of reading but it was still a bunch.) That started 10 days of rain that ended Thursday night. It went down a couple of inches last night... finally.

Are you going to be using trees as pylons for the Nationals?

When was the last time your water level was that high? How low does the level get during drought periods...like last year?

How do I put this? This is uncommon but not unusual. It happens every few years. We did not have a drought last year. Our water levels were very close to pool all season. We usually don't have real issues until the Army Corps of Engineers decides to have a look at the earthen dam.
