One of the previous owners had Swimmer set up quite well with lines for most things led through line organizers to cam cleats on the cabin top. One of those was the cunningham. I know this because all is labeled. Currently there is nothing connected to the cunningham and I would like to run it as it was before. Presumably, this requires a block at the base of the mast. This is where my lack of experience really shows itself. How do I pick the right block? Studying the various catalogs and their attendant nomenclature simply muddles the topic for me. How do you folk run this line?

A Cunningham is a high load adjustment. You actually need a purchase, mine is 6:1, small Harken bullet blocks. I removed the cam cleat that came on the purchase and run the tail through the organizer to the cleat on the cabin top. I use a small racing clam cleat because it is a trimming line and should not be in a clutch, (they are for setting lines).

I have a similar set up stashed in a locker because I didn't know where it went. I'll bet it's for the cunningham and will take a good look at it next time I'm at the boat. I appreciate the pointers, very helpful.
