I am now the proud owner of a 1984 Catalina 25, hull number 4663. Currently on the hard in Chazy, NY. Hope to launch in a couple of weeks. would do it sooner, but my schedule is just too hectic.
Welcome aboard John. If you don'talready know it, this is the best darned group of folks around with a huge store of knowledge about our boats. Don't hesritate to ask if you're stuck with a Catalina 25 problem.
John- Congratulations, she looks good from here. You'll have great fun with the Catalina 25. While I understand you want to get it in the water asap, take alittle extra time to do some things to her "on the hard" that would be more difficult to do once she's in the water. Like clean and wax the hull, clean mast, replace spreader boots inspect spreader bolts so on and so forth.
You simply cannot find a more helpful site, nor better bunch of guys with free-flowing ideas and opinons than Catalina 25-250.org Glad to meet yah. Mike 83 t/r f/k
I can only re-emphasize what everyone is saying about what a great site this forum is, and how helpful. It's making my Cat 25 experience a heck of a lot better. Thanks all, and welcome John!
Our boats aren't too far apart -- same year and configuation.
BEWARE: reading this forum will cause you to make all sorts of wonderful modifications taking much time and making your new boat impossible to ever part with :)
