So the season is half-over. That means it's time to start thinking about where to store the boat for the winter. I have no back yard and no trailer. Does anybody have any suggestions where to dry dock a boat in the NYC area (either up the Hudson, in NJ or on the LIS)?
Facilities that would be nice (but are not deal breakers) include: a) an on-site outboard mechanic. b) allows me to paint my own bottom and do my own work on the boat c) indoor mast storage (not likely in NY, but one and dream . . .) d) dinghy storage
I'd also like it to be within one day's sail or motor from the Hudson (79th Street Boat basin). I'll travel further for the right storage facility, but accessability is key.
