Hampton Bays, Long Island, NY My boat has reached the end. After swing keel failed earlier this summer, the boat was grounded and weathered a storm that bounced the boat like a pogo stick on sand, cracking fiberglass where keel pivot supports are, flooding the cabin. Swing keel pivot hole also damaged.
I'd love to pass as much as possible to someone who could use some items from this classic. I've owned the boat 5 years so not sure how old some things are, but they might be an upgrade for you. Some of the bigger things, like the mast, I'll only be able to keep as long as my marina will let me, until 11/1/2025.
Main Sail - not sure what year but fairly stiff, maybe 10 years old now. I replaced the plastic sliders.
CDI Roller furler and Jib
Mast
Boom
Interior Cushions - original brown plaid, decent for 43 years old
David, I’m very sorry to hear about your boat. I’d like the crib boards for the companionway. Do you have a bulkhead-mounted compass? I’m also wondering about the forward hatch? Is it the original without a solar vent? About how far is your location from the Port Jefferson ferry?
Bruce Ross Passage ~ SR-FK ~ C25 #5032 Port Captain — Milford, CT
Hi Bruce, It's about 45 min drive (depending on traffic), 25 miles from Port Jeff ferry to the marina in Flanders. Yes I have original crib boards, the hatch is also original, no vent. It doesn't stay open but I have the hardware. The cockpit compass seems to be original.
