Yesterday, October 6, I sold my beloved Limerick. The realities of life made it a logical decision albeit not a pleasant one. They say the two best days are when you buy a boat and when you sell. Well for me the later was bittersweet. However between mobility issues thanks to age, lack of crew, and changing family dynamics now grandchildren are in the picture, it was the time. I must admit, from a derelict boat to the final project, my son did tons of work, we fixed or replaced everything, and the boat never looked better. The new owner is a father/son team who hopefully will enjoy Limerick as much as our family has. Now, what to do with all the spares I have!!

Peter, Congratulations. While it’s an end of an era for your family, it’s the beginning of a new adventure for this young family. And you and your son were good caretakers for Limerick. Now it’s someone else’s turn. You should think about getting a 20-something foot Maine-type boat or a pair of jet skis!
