Posted - 12/29/2018 : 09:13:15 There are many posts out there for raising the helm seat for the wheel steering C250. But I haven't seen this style, so I thought I would share it. But first several observations.
1. It will have locking latches inside to make it removable. Otherwise the emergency tiller won't be a viable option. 2. To make is fit properly, 1/2" x 7 5/8" MDF board was used as the core and had to be internal routed on the bottom and external routed on the top to create the spacer. 3. The lid was used as a template to properly craft the core dimensions. Very important detail when determining the compound miter joint angles. 4. It will increase the height of the locker about 7 inches. I have the internal diesel tank and it is currently empty. However, it doesn't reduce the internal dimensions of the locker, so a gas tank will still fit. 5. I already test fitted it and was excited about the sitting posture and the ability to use the factory cushion. 6. Time to add a back support cushion between the rails, so please share your ideas!
Pictures will be added this spring with the final installation.
