I did a search for this question and I was surprised I didn’t find anything but I was wondering what guys and gals do on bottom painting and dealing with the rollers on the trailer?

Me too. I plan to paint this summer. And if that works, that will be a piece of cake. Famous last words.

Thanks Steve! I’ll give it a shot.

Very easy with a roller bunk trailer. Let the safety chain at the bow out about 1 foot, then let the winch cable out about 1 foot, then lower the trailer's keel support. Then roll the boat back a foot, paint under the rollers and, when it's dry, roll it back using the trailer winch. There are lots of ways to roll it back on the trailer. You can use a come-along attached to a tree, or just attach a line from the aft cleat to a tree and pull the trailer forward carefully for a foot. My method was to put the tow vehicle in reverse, get the rig rolling backwards slowly and then apply the brakes just hard enough to roll the boat back. You don't have to hit the brakes very hard.

My replies are quick because I've been holed up in my house for about ten weeks.
