I was looking at listings for larger Catalina Sailboats. (Yes, I know, I just got ours in March.) The disease is taking over. I ran across this C-25 that obviously has had its cockpit modified.

In my opinion 75% of the earth is water for a reason. That's why I sail.

Mr. and Mrs. Person, the listing agent's parents, must have known that he was going to be a boat broker when he grew up or they wouldn't have named him Any Sales.

I like the subtle use of "set up for your outboard motor." Sounds classier than "no motor," doesn't it?

I like the cockpit table mod...I may try it on North Star. I didn't realize how much space was available.

If you look at the slide show, you'll see that the pic with the cockpit table is obviously from another boat. But the real C25 needs some teak care badly!

I was wondering about that ladder. Thought maybe they also added a second level to the Cat 25.

Good catch! "Your outboard" had better be a Honda 225 (or a couple of 'em) for that thing...

I dunno, Don. Just a hunch. It's just weird that the pic in the ad didn't come from the slide show, as it usually does in these sites. But there have been times I could have used that ladder to free halyards or repair the steaming light.

Interesting site brokering boats. I think their pictures are a little mixed up?

How about a Catalina 27 with a planing hull? Guess that would eliminate the hull speed limit?
Although the lack of keel might cause some excess heel?
