The auspicious first post! Have just down-sized to a Catalina25. Needs a bow pulpit. Don't find one in salvage places here in FL. The nice folks @ C-Direct will no leave me much change after I "Break Out Another Thousand" (and it's shipped from CA). Hoping for a clue to a C25 being parted out somewhere in the Southeast Conference.
Also have noted there doesn't seem to be backing plates in the foredeck. Any advice on installation would be appreciated.
It's a real loooong shot, but you might try to call the Catalina factory parts guy. They probably don't have one, but they may be able to tell you who might be able to make a replacement. I think the guys name was Ken, but I'm not sure if that is the case now.
I replaced my stern pulpit ~10 years ago. I found a local shop that built me a custom thick-walled unit for ~$450. They even mounted it to the boat and ran the stern light wire. I think that was quite the deal, and think that a new one would easily double now.
From my discussions with CD and Catalina there was not a one size fits all design. Apparently there is boat to boat differences, and they wanted to measure mine.
