Hi all, A quick one. I want to get a main sail mast track stop. West marine has three and I was wondering if anyone would know which was best. 1/2" round; 3/8 wide flat & 3/4 wide flat. I'm hoping it's the 1/2 round. Thanks Jay

I used two 1/2" round stoppers (one above and one below the gooseneck to effectively make it fixed)--worked fine. I installed gate plates to contain the slugs, which before that were contained by another stopper. The advantage of the plates is that the slugs can drop all the way to the gooseneck for reefing or even covering the sail.

One of the reasons I added the plates was that I got tired of the stopper occasionally slipping. Works so much better. Definitely add them to your project list.
