The lettering appears to be the std block lettering that some order versus going with the custom boat graphics/lettering that is made of 3M or other mfrs special film that lasts a very long time. In my area, Boat US still sells the custom designs via their graphics shop located in Alexandria, VA. This shop was at one time affiliated with their Boat US store which then became a West Marine store and then eventually closed since West Marine had another store in general vicinity. I mention all of this because there is no way that the lettering came from the Boat US/West Marine Graphics/Lettering Online store. It probably came from std lettering sold via the West Marine Catalog and made with probably std plastic stock matl from who knows where. My Boat US graphics lettering is now well over 10 years old and shows no signs of ageing or fading from the sun, etc..
I think some procurer at WM saw a bigger margin without evaluating the material the lettering is made of. Sorry, but I already have plenty of items to maintain.
Ordered replacements from Defender - made by Bernard.
