If anyone has done this (successfully) I'd appreciate you sharing your technique. The Lewmar instructions are pretty vague.

The one over the sink in the head area started to seep in a hard rain and it was suggested that I clean the plastic and gasket and put a little Vaseline on the gasket. It worked---so far. That was about a year ago.

Thanks for the reply Howard. When you refer to plastic it sounds like you have the Beckson style portlight.
