let me correct this post. the part you show on the boom is part # H2019.{this is for a Cat 27} the part you need on your Boom, catalina 250, is part # H1865 (Cat 250). Then you,ll need part # Z2063.
OK - hopefully I can get my pics working from dropbox - changing the www to dl does not seem to work this evening... (it's working - copy link from different part of dropbox)
Anyway - with the half gooseneck in place and the boom zip-tied into place - I'm thinking a section of 1-inch schedule 40 PVC pipe will get the job done for the second half...
Hate to be a hack but that replacement is pricey - could the pipe segment work?
(I'm not that much of a hack - I have already bought the real replacement - but if I can use a piece of pipe - why not just keep the repair kit in stock)
You may be one unintentional gybe away from tragedy. I'd only go with the genuine parts, and save the jury rigging for other non-structural items.

Your gooseneck looks totally different from the stock unit. How do you twist your boom? And where is the shackle for securing your tack?
The stock hardware looks like this. If your is different, you need to find the compatible parts:

Carl, The gooseneck that Rick (Take Five) has shown is the same as my boat Hull-793 (2005). It looks like Catalina changed the design to match the C270. The good news is the reef clutch, outhaul clutch, and topping lift clutch look like a better design than the original. The original Jiffy Reef system wasn't the best.
Did they change the design? When? Or perhaps, someone switched out a boom or gooseneck from a 270 as a jury rig.I've seen some "solutions" to problems that are Whiskey Tango Foxtrot...
