Anyone have a recommendation on what to use to reseal windows. I have the new style windows (with the screws, however). Both leak at the top on the starboard side. Want to avoid replacing windows if possible. thought maybe I could "re-glaze" so to speak.

Check this link for sealants. http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?340402-Best-sealant-for-acrylic-windows

I haven't replaced my windows, but had it done professionally on my C&C 35. You could probably rout out the old sealant with a Dremel or similar tool. Then mask on both the window and the fiberglass around it, so you don't smear sealant where you don't want it. Then seal it and smooth it. Remove the masking tape before the sealant sets. Follow the instructions on the product.

Many years ago, I cracked a window and discussed issues with Catalina, the mfr. Catalina can still support the old boats, in some instances. For windows without the metal channel, they will provide new windows but without the screws. The sealant they use is fine to seal the windows without screws which can upon tightening crack the window. In any case, I put the info they sent me onto my website and it includes the sealant they recommend. The info is fairly old...not sure if the sealant is still available. But Catalina Tech Dept can provide any updated info, if desired.

Dow Corning 795 is the sealant Catalina currently uses on newer boats.

I replaced my windows and made a thread about it, however, because of Photobuckets BS you won't be able to see any of the photos:

You could "try" to reglaze only but I think you'll get better results pulling the windows off and reseal the whole thing.

When my windows were replaced, they had to break the old windows to get them out, because the sealant adhered so tenaciously, and they had to grind the old sealant with a 4 1/2" grinder to remove the old sealant before installing the new windows.

My new windows were installed without screws. After it's set, the sealant holds the windows securely in place.
