The original is looking a bit it's age, so I want to replace it. The hole through the deck is 3", and the vent mounts on top of the deck only (i.e. there is no flange that goes into the hole). Catalina Direct and others have them, but they all seem to have a flange that requires either a 3 1/2" or 3 3/4" hole. Has anyone else replaced theirs, and did they have the same situation?
I found some that require only a 3" hole, but they aren't low profile.
Hi Richard, just to confirm, are you referring to the rear vents or the fresh air scoop that some install on the cabin top?
Either way, I replaced my rear vents with a pair from Seadog. They are 3 inch holes but have the sleeve that a hose attaches to from below. I think based on your low profile comment that you want the fresh air vent. They have those too but the smallest one is 3 1/4 inch. You could easily open that hole a little....may be a good chance to inspect your core and confirm a good new seal. ;/)
