Not Yet! Removable TV Stand

Ok, so I can't live without TV. The Quarterberth was a good location for my TV. Since I use the dinette and starboard seat as my bed (picture in tech tips), the only thing I use the quarterberth for is storage and the TV, the VCR which sits underneath.

The stand is plywood with a rubber pad on top so the TV won't slide around in swells. The TV is 120 volt, run thru the freedom 10 inverter, the 120 volt receptacle and antenna hookup is located on the galley wall under the stairs. I use the Shakespeare SeaWatch 2020-G Mini antenna on a two foot fiberglass mast mounted on the stern rail. I usually only install the TV\VCR and stand for overnight cruising.

View of under side. Two small stainless steel cables are screwed to the plywood stand and attached to a snap hook. Two black plastic hinges, the other half's of the hinges are screwed to the interior underside of the cockpit floor. Pull the spring loaded stainless steel hinge pins and the stand snaps in place easily, with the cables snapped on to an eye strap under the cockpit seat.
