Hmmmmm ... how 'bout the "topic" arrows in the banner at the top that allow you to go to the previous/next topic ... ... I don't recall seeing those before.
<font size="2"> <font face="Comic Sans MS"> First of all, Kudos to Paul who is picking up the ball from Spike. I do hope that everyone understands that this is just our forum, a great place for an exchange of information. However the Association has a great resource in our National Association web site. Paul is working to make the two entities relate to each other and hopefully everyone who uses this forum will discover the National Association web site and realize that there is a wealth of information and benefits available to them. If you are just using the forum, discover the National Association web site and if you are not a member go to the membership page and sign up. You will support the work that goes into this great forum and get all the benefits from our web site as well as a subscription to the Mainsheet Magazine. Paul, much thanks to you for offering your assistance with the web site, your efforts are appreciated greatly.
Spike has been endeared by the membership for her service to the association, our gratitude is mucho. Personally, my hat off to any lady that wears as many hats. A job well done for many years.
Not a real big issue, but something I'd like to see happen is a Snitz version upgrade. The latest version should solve my greatest nagging problem of editing... the newer version allows placing the curser where an insert or text form change is desired rather than have it jump to the end and then having to cut and paste it back to where its desired.
Thanks Arlyn, Spike is still involved (she could not escape that easily) her skills are much in need and her experience is way to valuable to cast off.
Not sure I understand your comment on editing though. Would you email me with details and perhaps I can identify the problem.
Looking around, I don't know whether the FAQ link was there before, but I'll suggest that the #1 FAQ is probably how to insert a picture into a post. You might want to add that.
Arlyn: I can't identify with your editing issue--could it be that Mozilla is doing it to you? I seem to be able to insert and edit wherever I want. It used to be that the smilies would only insert at the end, but somehow that got fixed.
Thanks, Paul and Spike, for a great site and your fine service!
<font size="2"> <font face="Comic Sans MS"> Unless I am doing something wrong, which is a distinct possibility, with the frames you cannot set a "Favorites" or a direct link to the forum page or any other individual page in the web site. The only page you can set is the home page. http://www.catalina25-250.org/frameset.html All pages and the forum come up with this same URL no matter which page you are on. If you use the frames to move around the web site including the forum all addresses in the “address” bar are the same. How do we set a link directly to the forum? I will go back to using a direct link to the forum without the frames as I like to check into the forum before noodling around the web site. Is there a way for each page to have a discrete URL and still have the frames? Having to go to the home page every time to get to the forum just to have the frames is not the best solution IMO. If the frames do work can the "registration" button be changed to "Join" or "Membership". </font id="size2"> </font id="Comic Sans MS">
Hi John, you inadvertantly identified the reason for adding the header in a frame. Many folks that arrived at the forum from search engines never click on the home link. Hence they were not aware of the many other features of the website.
However, you are correct, it is nice to be able to create a link to the forum so here it is.

I can go to the Snitz web site forum and can insert ok but not here, which left me thinking it was a problem of an older version and it could be. So, this seems a coding issue that shows up with Mozzilla like the color problem was, which Spike solved.
It has been a year since I discovered it, and I don't recall if I discovered it accidently or read about the fix. It may be that the latest version would solve the problem.
My only problem with the new frames is that I cannot send a url for a specific thread to someone. I don't care about specific urls for forums but we do need to reference specific threads to share past posts and their information. Paul, is there a way to have a floating header with out the frames url issue?
Hey, Brit, can YOU get the 2004 Nationals results on the website? That would be great. Like a bad doctor, I am running out of patience (patients.....get it?)
Gary B. s/v Encore! Fleet 94 Captain
Can I help with that, somehow? The results are all posted on the Fleet 94 website.

I didnt used to have to sign in my user name and password to post a reply every time (i did the login, maybe it didnt take). Also someone has removed all the techtips for the c25. Take up too much space?
The Forum version of the Tech Tips has been removed due to lack of use. Our initial thought was that if we bring the tips into the forum they would be utilized more, however we were not seeing the postings that we would have liked.
The new approach will be as follows –
First, The new frames version of the board give us the ability to easily link to any section of the association website – Something many forum users don’t even know exists.
Secondly, the web editor will attempt to solicit people to write tips based on forum notes, and extract tips from our forum and post them.
Third, we encourage people to reference the tips already in existence when replying to forum posts.
If you haven’t been to the association site, or haven’t been there lately, I encourage you to take a look around. It has changed and will continue to improve. We’ve buffed up the links section, racing section and Cruising section. Have plans for the Tech Tips and hope keep this portion of our organization just as interesting as our forum.
