I sail a water balast swing keel, hull #5. I thought I felt some softness in the boat's sole inside the head on our ending trip last fall. The boat was poorly stored last winter (I temporarily had no control of the situation) and left out with the bilge
I don't know if the design changed from #5 to my #220 but on Escape there is a small gap between the top of the ballast tank and the uderside of the cabin sole. Open the door to the vale for filling the ballest tank and you should be able to see this gap
