The "new style" rudder that I ordered March 19 from Catalina finally arrived two weeks ago. I was able to test it out in 12+ knot winds this past weekend and can tell you that it was the best $125 I've spent since purchasing the boat. The weather helm is

'All Keyed Up' is a yr. 2000 C250WK, hull number 447. Does anyone know when the most recent rudder design was put on new boats?

Also has anyone changed out a yr. 2000 boat rudder?

Thanks,

JKEY

I recently put on the new balanced (Generation 3) rudder. I have a wing keel and the rudder I received was only a couple of inches shorter than my generation 2, fixed blade rudder. However, the new balanced rudder is much wider than the old rudder. I t

Before I installed the rudder upgrade on my 1999 250WK I had to have about 3/4" cut off the second offset that fits under the hull/stern.
I could not get it to fit no matter how I turned the rudder, the grudgens and pintals were aligned ok and it was a l
