Has anyone installed the upgrade kit from Edson to convert the original push-pull cable to the pull-pull cables? The Edson wheel steering option from Catalina, first came installed with the single push-pull cable. Now the 250 comes with two "pull cables

Is the upgrade kit available from Catalina? If so, what do they charge and what are the issues that you must work around when adding the upgrade (e.g., additional backing blocks, etc.)?

I have not checked with Catalina to see if they carry the upgrade. I talked to Edson. I've looked at the new 250s with the pull-pull steering and it looks like it is all bolt on replacement of the push-pull cable, no drilling holes in the boat or glassi

It would be helpfull to the group if someone making this upgrade would share the experience.

Initially there were some failures from a couple of known problems...

1. set screw holding cable sheath at pedestal base was loosening and releasing cable s
