I think I've come up with a trailer to drag my new boat home on. Now I'm looking for a dragger... Any ideas?

You might check with U-haul or Penske truck rental. I would be hesitant to put one of those things on a ramp, but you could tow it to a place that has a lift. A big diesel moving truck would be ideal for towing our boats.

Tom.

You might give Bob Guay of Alcove Carriers a call (518.695.5652)at least to get an estimate. He delivers boats all over New England, is very good to work with, and underbid all other carriers hands down when we had our C25 delivered.

Just my opinion, but if it were my boat I'd want insured professionals to handle the move.

Hi Justin,
I know a guy who lives in Harrison who has a GMC 1 ton "dualie" that is all set up for haulin. He hauls travel trailers from Indiana every week back to Maine or the Maritimes. He might be willing to give you a price. A real nice guy that is also a Sailor! His only downfall, is that he owns a Hunter
Let me know....

Alcove Carriers moved osmepneo from Nyack Ny to the Great Sacandaga Lake, ca 170 miles. And were very good.

I'd agreed to meet them in Nyack at 7:00 and when I got to the club at 7:00 they already had the boat on the bed of the their truck, and when got to the marina where I kept the boat for the rest of the summer it was in the water, mast stepped and ready to go. I whole heartily recommed them. Price was pretty reasonable.

Where is it now and where in NE are you looking to bring it? I rented a 1/2 Chevy from Enterprise on RT 1 in Saugus to move mine. They were the only place I could find that had ans allowed towing.
