Has anyone ever changed the halyards in a Reefer 6 model? Are there any problem areas to watch for? My line seems to go inside (3) separate extrusions.
Also these extrusions do not line up very well, they are not presently on the boat. Is this normal or is there a part i must purchase to asssure they line up.
Frank, I believe I have the mod # 3b and on that one the extrusions are cojoined with two aluminum inserts at each joint. They are available from the cdi folks. With regard to the furling halyard. When dropping the genny I sew(butt) a pennant to the haylard to lengthen it sufficiently to remove the sail. If I were to replace the halyard I'd do the same thing. Mast up or down it's all the same.
