I haven't see the wing keel on my C25 yet and am trying to procure a trailer so I can pull it out. I don't see anywhere in the specs where it says how wide the wing portion of the keel is. Does anyone know off the top of their head how wide it is?
This is my wing trailer, Note the toungue exstension. Note the support post of that exstension. My keel is a bit wider that that support allows. The trailer assumes that the trailer is on a ramp and the keel will drop forward of the support post.
I've been looking at mine for a few months now, and I would say it's a little over two feet wide. It's about a foot on each side with a few inches in-between..... maybe 2'5" total.
If I remember correctly, the width of my 89 wing is 28 inches. I'm sorry I didn't write it down the last time I measured it, but I seem to remember thinking it would be 14" to each side of centerline when I add guides to my trailer
My boat is one of the wing retrofits, so I don't know if it is any different, but the 28 inches sounds right to me. I measured it prior to launching it this summer with the intent of making a "shute" on the trailer to receive the keel. I wrote the measurements on my "owner's manual", which is on the boat. I need to check it this weekend and I'll confirm what I measured if you like.
