By show of hands, how many of you guys from Atwood lake plan on attending? Does anyone else down there want to come but not have a trailer? Does anyone have a trailer to share?
Let me know. The sticky for this forum dropped off, so I will attempt to post something a bit more frequently to keep it at the top of everyone's mind.

I'm confused. I thought the natinals rotated east midwest, west. This year they were in Kansas and next year Ohio? Heh, no doubt, to some of you Ohio is in the east...
If its east of the Mississippi it is! The real midwest is between the Mississippi and the Rockies. Only east coasters think they add up to an entire section of the country. By the way, St Louis is not in the West.

It rotates based on time zones. And yes, ohio is the first state right to left along the border that is considered to be in the midwest....however its still eastern time
And yes, we considered things like daylight savings when we calculated this
let me add to that. The rotation begins this year with Cleveland....and if there isn't a bid received in the specified area, the bidding opens to the entire country after x date....its in the bylaws.

Not according to my daughter's Social Studies textbook
Her textbook states the U.S. is comprised of 5 regions; Northeast, Southeast, Middle West, Southwest, and West. Middle West(Midwest) is comprised of both the Great Lakes states and the Plains States, which means both Kansas and Ohio are in the Midwest.
My daughters social studies book considers Kansas in the central region and Ohio in the Midwest. Guess it goes by who ever the publisher is and the people in the region of a particular area. I consider Indiana in the midwest. Kansas in the central plains and Colorado to me is out west.
