I plan on replacing the CB cable with the new vectra kit from Catalina this spring. While I am at I would like to put spacers in the piviot point, for the CB, to get rid of that klunk. I would like to find/make the spacers this winter.

Questions: I know many have already placed spacers in the piviot point, what material did you use? What size (diameter and thickness) should the spacers be? Lastly What diameter does the hole need to be in the spacer? Thanks all in advance.

Ray, Arlyn Stewart has that info. I used his dimensions and worked perfect. I don't remember nor did I write them down, thinking I wouldn't have to do this again. Another D/A attack.

I used a squeegee for my spacer material. The squeegee (left over from a fiberglass repair job) was tapered, I was able to pick my thickness to fit snugg. Scissors were used to cut hole, outside square to fit the cavity. The material seemed to be durable? No clunk for 6 months.
