Last week during a rain storm, I noticed the mast step was leaking. Today with the boat on the trailer I decided to fix it.

I removed the 4 bolts that hold the step inplace and started pulling up on the step, to my surprise the mast step and mast crutch pipe are one.

Here's a picture of the mast step hole with the sealer before I cleaned it up.

After I cleaned out all the old sealer.

Looking from the inside up and out the hole.

I called Catalina and ask them what they used at the factory when installing the mast step, they told me 3M 4200. I put the mast step/crutch back in the hole and put plenty of 4200 around the crutch and filled in around the hole.

I then put the bolts and nuts back on and snuged them up until the 4200 started coming out around the edges. I tighten them up the rest of the way tomorrow after the sealer sets.
