I need to extend the LOA of my 250 to 30' to qualify for a 30' slip in my local marina. The addition of a dinghy davit off the stern would extend the 26'11' LOA to 30'. I located one, MarTek MT-100 for $390.00 plus tax and shipping. Anyone know of a cheaper rig that would accomplish the same purpose? Thanks.

How about a wood bowsprit... Although you will have to import it from Canada but we do have an abundance of very nice wood in any size and shape and reasonably priced. It certainly will be more economical if you buy it from the local lumber yard though. Love to see a C250 dressed up while at the same time solving weatherhelm problems
