I swapped out my 15-gallon water tank for a 20-gallon unit. No clearance problems, it just slips right in. While I was at it, I added a pressure sensing water pump. Very quiet, and it doesn’t use an accumulator. The pump and filter bolt onto a piece of HDPE (high-density polyethylene; similar to StarBoard), then the board and tank are strapped to the factory glassed-in tank support.

The two sinks get filtered water, and the wye with the orange plug is for a (yet to be installed) shower fixture on the transom.

Wow! Are you still using the Whale pumps on the sinks and if so, how do they work? Pump the whale and the motor turns on? Replace them with something else?

What type of filter are you using? I really like your idea. Running a clear hose to the cockpit for a shower (maybe even from under the sink) might work fine for me if it is under pressure.

I currently have a washdown pump installed in the rear compartment but it is feed with lake water and primarily used in rinsing down the decks. I like the fresh water idea!

I replaced the Whale pumps with regular faucets. It's really nice to turn on the water and have two hands to do something! I'll get into the faucets and shower head in another post.

Here's the filter I used:
