My old boat, Neptune 24, has a 135 furling headsail. My "new" C-250 has a 110. Should I consider switching the sails? My sailing is all offshore Southern California. Thanks.

I've sailed a 250WK with a 135 on Lake Guntersville, AL. The winds here are generally light so a 135 made sense for the owner. We were out a couple of times when it was 10 - 15 and we reduced sail from 135 to about 110 to balance properly (along with a 1st reef in the main). Based on what I've experienced and reports of what you will encounter, a 110 should be about right. Just MHO.

I agree with Clark, I would stay with the 110.
