Sorry to keep bugging y'all with so many questions, but that's the beauty of this forum. What is the proper setting for the topping lift? I used it to raise the boom above my 5'10" head but the main seems to be baggy at the clew. Lowering the boom trims the sail but I hate having to duck under the boom. What say y'all?

. . and make sure your main is raised as high as possible on the mast before realeasing the topping lift. Do release your boom vang before raising. Your boom should not be smacking you in the knees.
Also, before raising the mast on your boat, make a mental note "Did I tie the topping lift to the top of the mast?" Don't ask how many times I've done this!
