I know the title may be vague but I am a newbie looking for some information. Basically I cannot make up my mind between the new 2006 Hunter 25 and the catalina. I understand that the opinions may be a little biased but please help me with your opinion on which way to go as well as what to look for between the two. I am basically going to use this boat for weekends with my wife and not very rough seas.

I was not impressed by the new Hunter25 that I crawled all over at this years St. Petersburg All Sail Show. I was small inside and the workmanship was cheap looking. When I stood up inside the boat, am 5'9" tall, my shoulders were above the hatch with the top up. The keel looks like a Catalina 25 swing boat with the keel up. I can only tell you to go look at both boats. I have not seen a Hunter25 at the local Hunter dealer yet, but you may contact them and ask if they will be getting one. Whitney's Marine is the local Hunter dealer in this area. If you would like to look in a 2004 C250 WK sometime after the holidays EM me through the forum and I will get back with you so we can get together for a tour and some sailing. In the mean time I would contact Whitney's to see of they will be getting a 25 in for you to crawl over.
