I sent the following email out 50 recipients at a time to the entire membership. Each batch was a little different, but all had the same gist.
Unfortunately, I've come to learn that beside suspending my gmail account for a day the email was flagged as spam for a bunch of members. Thanks to all who read their spam/junk email and sent me a note to let me know.
Since not everyone got it, here is the email

Gmail is no less legitimate than any other address, and from what I can tell, they have way better protection from spam both sending and receiving than any of the others out ther. That being said, I put this post up for that very reason.
Hi Duane, as you know this boat is my entry back into sailing after twenty years of raising kids. So I hope it is alright that I just come down for the party and not race? Cheers.
Hey Duane, I was skiing at Holiday Valley this week and while taking a break in the lodge I ran into a guy with a race week shirt on. I stopped to say Hi and ask what kind of boat he sailed. It turned out he was your Commodore Mike Vining. I didn't know you had one of my relatives running the show. What a coincidence not only did he mention you right off but he also knew my buddies Ken and Meg Anderson. looks like I'll be getting a crew toghther to race. count on Nin Bimash being there.
