I remember submitting my info to have my #5820 listed in the Owner's Directory. This was some time ago. I believe I checked the Owner's Directory again about 3 weeks ago and having not seen my boat listed, I believe I entered the info a second time. Is there any record of me submitting info and will my boat eventually get listed in the Owner's Directory or perhaps I did something wrong and need to resubmit the info. Any clue ?

Larry,

Your story is nearly identical to mine. I made my first submission in early November and a second a couple of weeks ago.

The Webmaster(s) receive an email listing all the information you submit on the form. The information must then be manually updated by the Webmaster(s). Please keep in mind that the Officers and Staff of this Association are all volunteers as you read this next paragraph.

Our Webmaster for as long as I've been a participant (June 2002) has been Karen "Spike" Baumgart; wife of our current Commodore. Spike has dedicated an enormous number of hours to the Association's website over the years. Her high level of participation was facilitated, in part, by the fact that she was self-employed as a website designer. However, that situation changed this past year and has resulted in Spike not having the same capacity for attention to Association matters. Additionally, what little time she does currently have to dedicate to the Association is now being spent arranging new webhosting for the site, planning the migration of the site, and coordinating with a website design consultant for a complete overhaul.

In the interim, a gentleman named Paul Alcock (Britinusa) was to begin taking over Spike's day-to-day Webmaster duties; for example, the Owner's Directory updates. From what I can tell, Paul has elected to no longer participate as a Staff member. As I said, participation is voluntary.

So, please be patient, but also be aware that some things are likely to fall through the cracks until another volunteer steps up to assume the role of Webmaster.

Just wanted to know if possibly I did something wrong with entering my data. I did not know if possibly entering the data a third time would result with eventually having 3 #5820s show up in the database. LOL I guess I will wait several weeks and if nothing shows up, I will then enter the data again. Maybe by that time everything will be sorted out with new entries being submitted.

I changed my email address since entering the info. I wonder how it can be changed w/o adding workload to our gracious volunteers.

Gentlemen,

Along with JB's informational post above, allow me to add.

I've been working with an outside consultant to get a number of things updated and changed on the new website. I will be updating that members section very shortly. If it isn't an inconvenience, could you both provide me, via email, the same information that was sent via the forum. I will work to get this updated.

Thanks,

Duane
