Don't know if this qualifies as a forum topic here, but anyway -
My wife gave me a Weems Plath ship's clock for Christmas, and it's beautiful. Problem is the ship's bell is so soft you can barely here it. I've contacted their website, but the response is "send the clock back or "put it next to another one" to compare. Before dtaking any other action I thought I would run it by the group.

I would need a "cheat sheet" to decipher the 8 bell code!

I have the Orion chiming clock. Mine also has a soft ring, but you can hear it from the cockpit. I would take it to WM and compare just to satisfy yourself.
