The hand pumps on both the galley and head sinks leak substantially when used. I purchased the proper repair kits (o-rings, etc.) from WM but they came without instructions. In scrambling to get the boat covered before our first big fall storm I only had a little time to work on the pumps but I removed the tubing and threaded flanges (terminology?)underneath the counter. I assumed the pumps would then be free, but I could not budge them and didn't want to end up breaking them off. What am I missing? Will not likely be able to get back onto the boat until March, but at least I can plan.

There is one big nut that holds the pump to the counter. My guess is that someone glued it down at which point a thin putty knife and a hammer should do the trick.
