I have seached the world over for a cover for a bulkhead mounted Saturn Aqua-Meter A-149 compass for my C-25. The one place I thought had one, (Shipstore.com) ended up telling me later that they no longer had it available (apparent manufacture quit making them). So, any assistance in locating either a new or used one would be GREATLY appreciated!

Bruce,

After poking around a bit, I found the Aquameter A149 at SailNet which led me to a manufacturer, ITT Industries Rule, and a cover. Hopefully it is the one you are seeking.

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, after searching this link to the ends of the universe, I was still unable to locate a distributor that still handled this device. Apparently, they don't manufacture it anymore (which I find hard to believe since they still sell the compass itself and the back cover). I've written some e-mails, but haven't heard any response back. I'll keep looking, and if anyone else has info, I'm still game!

Thanks again dlucier!

My Suunto compass needed a cover and I found a pliable white plastic bowl, added industrial Velcro to the inside lip of the bowl and top of the compass and it works fine.

Go ahead, click on the bird.

Thanks - I'll give it a try, but continue my "QUEST" for an original part. Surely someone out there knows where one can obtain one?

Noticed that myself...Ouch!

That Shipstore site sold it for around $26.00...Maybe West Marine can do the match thing.
