Duane, should I wait till ariving in Cleveland to have my sails measured or should I have them measured ahead of the regatta? If I do not have numbers on my jib do I need them? finally, I havn't belonged to a yacht club for over 30 years. Do I need to be a member of one to race? Forgive me It's late and I'm not sleepy.

Sails will be measured sometime after check in on Thursday. The Chief measurer and I met yesterday and he told me he hasn’t determined what sails will be measured. Generaly, any headsail greater than 100% needs a sail number. You will not need to register the number with US Sailing. This is considered a one design class, the number just needs to be your hull number. You can probably get a set of numbers from your sail maker for about 12-15 bucks.
No need to belong to a yacht club.
John, can you also confirm that you received the semi-weekly update email earlier this week?
Hi Duane, I have received the update but having reviewed the note I probably didn't need to make this post. But as I said it was late and I could not get to sleep. Thanks for the info.
