I need to purchase a new backstay for my Catalina 250. Any suggestions on where this best dealers are for this type of equipment. I've heard "Catalina Direct" is a good souce (?)

Standing rigging is generic, anyone with the equipment to swage can build it for you. We are all comfortable and confident when we use Catalina Direct. You have an issue unique to the 250, there have been quite a few "versions" of the 250 backstay. Catalina has played with different mounting locations what seems fairly randomly. I would take it off and send it to whomever I had make it so they can get it right.

I just bought a new backstay from Catalina Direct. Since there are so many different lengths for the 250's, they will have you send your backstay to them so they can measure it. They gave me great service and got my new one to me in a week or so. The new stay cost about 100 bucks including shipping which was cheaper than any of the local shops wanted to make me one.
