Looks cool! Curious, does the port hole make contact with the teak when stored? I had to countersink the bolts on the handle I installed to avoid that from happening. Kurt #818 C250WK 'Tortuga'
Looks pretty neat Frank, I have plans to install some opening ports in the cockpit area so the aft berth gets a little air, buts thats down the list aways.
I normally pull these off shipwrecks I dive, but this guy I found at a marine salvage company in Newport Beach called Minney's. 25 bucks for the brass port, 10 bucks to drill the hole. It's screwd in with short ss, as are the handles. It's only slightly thicker than the hatch door. Inside, I glued rope around it. Picture tomorrow.
Here's the porthole from inside. The brass plate above my GPS and handheld VHF radio, etc. reads: CERTIFIED SHIP'S OFFICE. I salvaged it years ago off a wreck.
