I read last year about a big sale Defender has every winter or spring.Does anyone have any info on this? I will probably order my bimini through them.Thanks,Craig

I usually get the email of their big sale in April. Unbelievable some of the prices they offer. I got a lot of teak accents from them last year. This year I hope to get new wind instruments from them.

I think Defender has a stale inventory blow out sale once a year. I was under the impression it was a 'must be present to win' situation held in their parking lot, but if they're opening it up to remote customers, so much the better for them and us.

For all boat canvas needs, also consider SailRite.com. I'm thinking about recovering my bimini with supplies from them. On the other hand, if you see an outstanding deal on bimini cloth through Defender, feel free to mention it here!

I bought a whisker pole from them over the internet, less than 1/2 price.

Defender is 10 minutes down the road from my new home--just one more reason to live here in Mystic... In the first week of April, they hold a sale where their huge warehouse is set up temporarily as a big indoor store. I bought my Achilles there last April. Some deals are very good--others just fair. I don't know to what degree they offer the same deals over the internet--you can watch their site around that time--but I suspect they'll promote that by e-mail and otherwise if they do. You could e-mail canvas@defender.com and ask.

Thanks guys.The bimini from Defender was the Westland product that a lot of stores offer.Sailrite's model may be the same thing but they don't specify Sunbrella Royal Blue.I will call them before I order,I've been very happy with thier service.
