I'm looking for information from anyone about installing a boomkicker, especially the attachment to the boom.

Mike, Here's what I did on my C250......The Boom kicker ( all three brands essentially cost more ( by the time you complete the installation)than a Garhauer ridgid vang. I called Garhauer direct ( since they don't sell through distribution) an ordered a complete stainless steeel ridgid vang for way under $300.00. When you tell them that it's for a C250, they send all the correct and specific hardware for installation in about an hour. Every thing is there including lines and and every nut/bolt. I then took my old (soft) vang and sold it on E-Bay for $100.00.....voila I covered 40% of the cost and had the BEST. Frankly I may be a snob but I consider boomkickers merely a bandage compared to the Garhauer unit.

Guys... I just installed the Garhauer kicker on my boat. Garhauer calls it a rigid boom vang... It fit perfectly and went on fast. I love it. Just tell Garhauer you have a Catalina C250...you'll want the 16:1 ratio unit..I think it was $190.00+shipping. REAL NICE goods for the $$$.
By the way, they make nice quality hardware for travelers etc. too. Buying factory direct saves alot.
