Jim did you finish the race? What time did you get in? We made it to within 2 miles of buoy 100 and the wind died down to 4 knots and we were fighting 3 knots of current. We were only making ΒΌ mile good in an hour. We threw the towel in and headed back to the slip. It was a great day until that point. Hope you were one of the ones who made it around. We saw a few spinnakers out which means they made it around the buoy.
we quit around 6 PM and motored back. Every boat in PHRF C did the same except Black Adder, they finished at 5 AM. The results are now up on SWYC web page. What boat were you on? I race on the Ericson 38 Charlotte Anne. I'd like to key up and take Indiscipline 1978 C25 in some of the races.
Jim I have been going out on Rippin a Catalina 36 out of SWYC. I have also been going out on Bad Dog Merit 25 out of Marina Del Ray. Here is a short cut to the race results. http://www.ssop.org/RaceCommittee/Results2006/Cabrillo-RACE3.HTM Basically the ones, which made it around, were the 40' and larger boats.
